An event designed by PhD students, for fellow postgraduates and those at the early stages of their academic careers. This is an opportunity not to be missed!
The PECE is honoured to welcome the following speaker:

This will be a chance to hear valuable insights and experiences from these world-renowned researchers in our field in an Interactive ‘Question and Answer Panel Discussion’ with the opportunity to also ask some of your own questions.
As part of the dynamic and varied programme offered, there will be also interactive ‘Hot Topics’ sessions, which will give you a unique opportunity, to hear from and gain valuable insights into those experiences relating to:
- Conferences
- Career Paths
- Funding.
There will be also be allocated times within the programme for networking with fellow delegates and speakers. It will be a key opportunity to share and learn from experiences with others, which we are certain will inspire and motivate those at whatever stage of their academic careers.
The PECE is a follow-up to the highly successful PECE workshop held in Sheffield in 2008 and 2010, which attracted over 40 attendees from many different countries, including Australia, Canada, China, Germany and the UK.
What previous delegates say
“Producing publishable research is a daunting task for any early career researcher, and something which I think we’d all like a little help with! For that reason, the insider tips from the reviewers and editors of the journals I hope to publish in were invaluable. The PECE event was also a great opportunity to network with old and new contacts in a relaxed environment. It was brilliant to be back at an IWP event and I’ll certainly be recommending the PECE to my friends and colleagues!” - 2010 PECE Delegate
Hosted Dinner: Tuesday 26th June 8pm
As part of the social programme for the event there will be a hosted dinner open to all postgraduates and early career researchers and hosted by the PECE team. This will be a chance for continuing with conversations and networking from the event. We hope you will be able to join us!
