Statistics Training Courses
Once again, IWP’s statistical consultancy and training service, Figure It Out, will be running three one-day training courses in statistical methods in conjunection with the IWP conference. These take place on the Monday and Tuesday preceding and the Friday following the conference, and cover the topics of Multiple Regression using SPSS, Multilevel Modelling using SPSS and Structural Equation modelling using Mplus respectively. They will be held in the Hicks Building at the University of Sheffield and taught by Dr Chris Stride, assisted by Dr Charlotte McClelland. These hands-on small-group courses offer superb value for money and the opportunity to be taught by a professional statistician with many years experience of both applying statistical methodology and data management, and of teaching non-statisticians from social science and management backgrounds.

The booking process is separate from that of the IWP conference, though conference attendees are offered a discount from the total cost of their booking. Booking will open in early February 2012. There are a maximum of 16 places available on each course, so prompt booking is advised.
