2012 Sponsorship and Exhibition Packages

The conference is hosted by the Institute of Work Psychology (IWP), an internationally renowned research centre focusing on work psychology, organizational behaviour and human resource management, based at the University of Sheffield Management School. This conference follows our extremely successful events in 2008 and 2010 which each attracted over 200 delegates from 36 different countries. Once again this conference has been publicised worldwide and we have received a large number of high-quality submissions. The peer-reviewed scholarly programme put together in conjunction with our distinguished International Advisory board is now available for download at: http://conference.iwp.dept.shef.ac.uk/programme/scholarly . We anticipate an audience of some 200 delegates for whom this will be a major showcase for their research and a unique networking opportunity.

Three internationally recognised keynote speakers have been confirmed for the conference: Professor Gilad Chen, University of Maryland; Professor Sharon Parker, University of Western Australia; and Professor Talya Bauer, Portland State University. In addition, we will also have a panel-based keynote from the business world including key business figures who we will be announcing soon.

A series of nine half day workshops will be delivered on Tuesday 26th June. Topics include: innovation in the workplace; the value of values; working effectively with others; 21st century careers; positive psychological resources; workplace bullying; systematic literature reviewing; tips for postgraduates and early career psychologist; and, statistics. These workshops will be a marriage of academic theory and reliable work place practices.

A workshop for postgraduate and early career researchers (PECE) will involve interactive sessions with leading academics, including our keynote speakers, on topics such as publishing, career management, and research funding.

The event will also stimulate discussion, provide an opportunity for companies to promote their own business in a relaxed atmosphere, and showcase the work of the Institute which offers a wide range of cutting-edge HR solutions to businesses.
